The international director of the Pope’s World Prayer Network, Fr. Frédéric Fornos SJ, and the international vice director Fr. Cristobal Fones SJ, accompanied by the director of the Prayer Network in Chile, Maritza Pérez, visited communities of the Eucharistic Youth Movement (EYM) in Chile.
During his stay from April 28 to May 2, his tour included the EYM of the School of the Sisters of the Esclavas del Corazón de Jesús in the Central Valley of Rancagua, 87 km from Santiago; a Prayer Network community and an EYM Center at the Jesuit School in Concepción, 500 km south of Santiago, with the aim of strengthening ties of faith and commitment, promoting a culture of encounter and a mission of compassion for the world.
The directors’ visit was received with enthusiasm and gratitude by the communities, they shared moments of prayer, reflection, pastoral proposals and experiences, reflecting the friendship with Jesus and the commitment of the EYM in Chile to local pastoral work.
