The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network is launching a new version of the app on its digital prayer platform: Click To Pray 2.0 (Beta). This is the Pope’s official prayer app which helps us pray for the challenges facing humanity and the mission of the Church and supports a prayer proposal for the synodal process.

With a completely updated digital proposal on its website and app, the new version of Click to Pray offers a wide variety of specific propositions to pray together with Pope Francis on a daily basis. Soon users will now be able to organise their own personal prayer planner, configuring their moments of prayer for each day. The app features the option of receiving notifications and a wide choice of content for prayer in any moment of the day.

The platform Click To Pray 2.0 (Beta) has been attentively designed and technologically developed to offer all users a profound experience of prayer. Each proposal seeks to inspire people to commit fully to the intentions of the Holy Father and pray for the challenges facing humanity and the mission of the Church.

As Pope Francis says, “the heart of the Church’s mission is prayer”, for this reason Click To Pray intends to become a place of personal encounter with the Lord and build a worldwide community of digital prayer.

The Holy Father is present for us in his prayer profile on Click To Pray. There he shares with the entire community his prayer intentions and each user can accompany him directly in prayer. The new version enhances the value of the intentions of Pope Francis by means of updated graphic features for interaction among users.

Moreover, Click To Pray offers the chance to generate a shared community space, where each user can publish his or her intentions and share prayers throughout the entire network. Click To Pray is a means of building bridges between generations, where everyone prays together and for each other.

The platform also includes a teaching tool for experiencing prayer at a more profound level. The School of Prayer is a new section which brings together original content of its own, as well as from other projects linked to the School of Prayer, especially chosen to help people develop a deeper dimension in their prayer and grow in their availability for the mission of Christ.

Click To Pray 2.0 (Beta) offers the following features:

  1. Daily personal prayer planner and notification configuration
  2. Pope Francis’ official prayer profile
  3. Three prayer moments for every day (morning, afternoon and evening)
  4. An online prayer Community
  5. School of Prayer offering support in prayer.

Click To Pray is a prayer platform (which includes the website and the app) available in seven languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian, French, German and traditional Chinese. The Click To Pray (v2.0 Beta) app is available free of charge for both Android and iOS. Each one of the features illustrated above will become progressively updated and improved.

Up to date content will be provided on social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube).

Since its launch in 2016, the Click To Pray project, including the website, app, social networks and newsletter, has reached more than 2.5 million users throughout the world. Every year, more than 300,000 users pray together with Pope Francis for his prayer intentions.

The Pope’s prayer app, supporting the synodal Church

In the missionary month, Click To Pray supports prayer for a synodal Church. The School of Prayer section proposes content for prayer and accompaniment of the synodal itinerary. The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network is at the service of the spiritual process, which invites us to be available for the encounter, listening from the heart and the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Prayer is at the heart of the synodal process. Click To Pray proposes praying for the prayer intentions of the Bishops’ Conferences.

A website to pray for a synodal Church

Second letter of Card. Mario Grech to those brothers and sisters called to a monastic and contemplative life, to initiate “an experience of world prayer to accompany the entire Synodal process”. “There can be no discernment without individual prayer and prayer with other brother and sisters. Synodality requires both personal and community conversion which originates in and is sustained by prayer. Our prayer, which springs from silence and contemplation, can be of immense help to the entire Church”.

Together with the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops and the International Union Superiors General, the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network launch a website to pray for a synodal Church, where all the people of God can share their prayers for the Synod of the Church. This will be also available on Click To Pray.

The website Church on the Way – Pray for a synodal Church is a digital instrument to accompany and pray for the synodal process.

Official opening for the monasteries: Tuesday 19th October
Official opening for all: All Saints 1st November.

WHAT IS THE POPE’S WORLDWIDE PRAYER NETWORK?

The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network engages the challenges facing humanity and the mission of the Church. Those challenges are expressed in the monthly prayer intentions of the Pope. The PWPN is an ecclesial service of the Holy See entrusted by the Pope to the care of the Society of Jesus.

An Ecclesial Prayer Network

We invite everyone to pray for and act upon the challenges of humanity and the mission of the Church identified by the Pope in his monthly intentions. These prayer intentions are a key for our prayer and mission.
