The International Vice Director of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, Fr. Cristóbal Fones SJ, took part in the Board Meeting and in the National Meeting of the Prayer Network in Spain, led by its director Mr. David Fornieles.

At the heart of those days was the celebration of the 180th anniversary since the beginning of the Apostleship of Prayer in 1844 (current the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network) and the deepening of the message of the Heart of Jesus, in the context of the 350th Jubilee of the revelations to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque.

Along with the review of diocesan realities, fraternal sharing, and common prayer, this meeting also had a special focus on the people who have left their mark on this work in Spain, recalling their names, gathering the history in its various stages, and reviving their legacy for the future.

The morning meditation was led by Fr. Fones on the meaning of today’s reparation within the context of our mission of compassion. He then accompanied the Eucharistic Adoration with songs.

The meeting concluded with the celebration of the Eucharist, presided  by Auxiliary Bishop José Antonio Álvarez was concelebrate by the Provincial of the Jesuits in Spain, Fr. Enric Puiggròs SJ.
