Pope Leo XIV received Father Cristóbal Fones SJ, International Director of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, in a private audience to discuss this pontifical work of ecclesial service, which operates in more than 90 countries and is governed by new Statutes approved in July 2024.

During the meeting, the Holy Father encouraged the continuation of the mission to respond to the challenges of humanity and the Church’s mission, as expressed in the monthly prayer intentions. He also emphasized his desire to promote, through this initiative, a deep way of praying connected to the compassionate Heart of Jesus—a form of prayer that truly helps transform both people and the world.

In addition to the monthly intentions, which are shared via The Pope Video, Pope Leo XIV reaffirmed his support for the digital platform Click To Pray, where he maintains his official prayer profile, updated every Sunday and Wednesday following his prayer requests during the Angelus and general audiences.

The importance of praying with the Pope for the world’s needs will continue to be promoted, now under the leadership of Pope Leo XIV and the care of this worldwide network, in which anyone can participate by connecting with national offices or through its online platforms.
