3.COLLECTION, PURPOSE AND RETENTION PERIOD OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA:

The personal data that you provide through the form on the WEBSITE www.popesprayer.va (hereinafter jointly referred to as the “WEBSITE”) will be processed by PWPN for the following purposes, in accordance with EU Regulations 2026/679 (GDPR):

  • To manage the creation of your USER PROFILE and provide you with access to the products, services, functionalities and apps that are offered through the WEBSITE. In particular, to allow you to use the social prayer platform service established through the WEBSITE to make your prayers, intentions and requests.
  • To send you the Newsletter, if you request it when you subscribe to the WEBSITE.
  • To manage the receipt and collection of any donation that you wish to make.
  • PWPN may contact donors to acknowledge and thank them for their contribution and to provide information related to their donation.

PWPN will not process the information that you provide for any purpose other than those expressly indicated above. If it should subsequently be necessary to process your personal data for another purpose, you will previously be provided with all relevant additional information in relation to the new purpose. Furthermore, PWPN will not make automated decisions on the basis of the information that you provide to us.

The personal data provided will be retained for as long as they are required in order to continue the relationship with you, to allow you to access and manage your USER PROFILE on the WEBSITE and to provide you with the services and functionalities that are offered through the WEBSITE, as well as to send you the Newsletter, if you request it. Notwithstanding the above, your personal data will ultimately be retained for a period of one (1) year from when you cancel or remove your USER PROFILE.

Donation records and related personal data will be retained for the period required by applicable accounting, tax, legal, and auditing obligations, and thereafter securely deleted or anonymized.

The basis of the legal grounds for the processing of your data in order to create your USER PROFILE and provide you with access to the products, services, functionalities that are offered through the WEBSITE and, in particular, to allow you to use the social prayer platform service established through the WEBSITE to make your prayers, intentions and requests, is the unequivocal consent that you give by accepting the Legal Notice and the Conditions of Use, as well as the Privacy Policy and, if applicable, the Cookies Policy; under no circumstances shall withdrawal of this consent affect the implementation of the requested products and services.

The basis of the legal grounds for the processing of your personal data in order to send you the Newsletter, if you request it when you subscribe to the WEBSITE, is the unequivocal consent that you give by accepting the Privacy Policy and, if applicable, the Cookies Policy.

The basis of the legal grounds for the processing of your personal data in order to manage the receipt and collection of any donation that you wish to make is the unequivocal consent that you give by accepting the Privacy Policy.

Personal data relating to donations are processed in order to administer and acknowledge donations, issue receipts, comply with legal and accounting obligations, and, where applicable, based on the donor’s consent for additional communications.

The person accepting this Privacy Policy represents that they are of legal age and have full legal capacity to accept it. PWPN shall be released from any liability for the acceptor’s lack of legal capacity.

To process donations, PWPN uses trusted third-party service providers such as Donorbox, Stripe, and PayPal. These providers process personal and payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws. Personal data may be disclosed to public administrations, entities or public or judicial bodies where required by law. Where personal data is transferred internationally, PWPN and its service providers will take appropriate measures to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

PWPN does not collect, store, or have access to donors’ full credit card or payment card information. Payment information is processed directly by the payment processor.

6.RIGHTS OF THE USERS AND METHOD OF EXERCISING THOSE RIGHTS:

You have the following rights for the protection of your personal data:

  • Right to request access: Allows you to find out what types of your data are processed by PWPN and the characteristics of the processing which is carried out.
  • Right to request rectification or deletion: Rectification allows you to request the modification of your data because they are inaccurate or untrue. Deletion allows you to request the removal of your data when the processing is no longer necessary.
  • Right to request the restriction of processing: Allows you to restrict the processing of data in the cases provided for by law.
  • Right to object to processing: In special circumstances, allows you to object to PWPN processing your data.
  • Right to data portability: Allows you to obtain a full copy of the personal data that PWPN is processing in order that they may be transferred to another data controller, in the cases permitted by law.
