Pope Francis received in audience Fr. Frederic Fornos SJ, who bid farewell after 11 years of service to this pontifical work, and Fr. Cristóbal Fones SJ, the new international director, who presented to the Holy Father the proposals received from the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network and various Vatican Dicasteries for the Prayer Intentions of 2026.
This process of synodal spiritual discernment gathers the proposals of thousands of people who help the Pope identify the most urgent challenges of humanity and the Church’s mission. During this time, the Holy Father will pray with them and, finally, will propose the Prayer Intentions for 2026, which will be published in the first months of the coming year.
