Dear brothers and sisters of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network,
We find ourselves in a significant moment in the life of the Church. Today, the cardinals expressly invite us to support this ecclesial time of grace and spiritual discernment with our prayers, listening to the will of God.
As they mention in their communiqué:
“The Cardinals, aware of the responsibility they are called to, feel the need to be supported by the prayers of all the faithful. This is the true strength that promotes the unity of all the members of the one Body of Christ in the Church (cf. 1 Cor 12:12).
Given the magnitude of the task ahead and the urgency of the present moment, it is necessary, above all, to become humble instruments of the infinite wisdom and providence of our Heavenly Father, in docility to the action of the Holy Spirit. Indeed, He is the protagonist of the life of the People of God, the One whom we must listen to, accepting what He is saying to the Church (cf. Rev 3:6).”
During these days, we invite you to persistently pray the Veni Creator Spiritus prayer, available in different languages on our social networks, and to make our daily offering for this particular intention.
Regarding the May intention on working conditions, we also continue to pray each day for the challenges of humanity and the mission of the Church.
May the Lord confirm us in this time as a true worldwide prayer network, committed to our mission and at the service of the entire People of God who seek to find and fulfill His will.
United in the Heart of Jesus,
Fr. Cristóbal Fones, SJ
