Last Friday, June 27th, on the occasion of the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, communities of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network from different corners of the world came together to celebrate this central feast of our spirituality.
In Rome, the celebration took place at the Church of the Gesù, where a Eucharist was celebrated, presided over by the International Director of the Network, Fr. Cristóbal Fones SJ. In his homily, he recalled that “the closer we are to the compassionate Heart of Jesus, the more fully we participate in his mission of compassion for the world.”

But joy and prayer also resonated in the different countries of the five continents, where members of the Pope’s Prayer Network and the Eucharistic Youth Movement lived this day with gatherings, liturgical celebrations, and moments of adoration.
Once again, the Heart of Jesus summoned us to live and spread his mission of compassion for the world.
