The national teams of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network from different regions of the world came together to pray for Pope Francis.
The news of his departure profoundly moved the members of the Prayer Network, whose mission is to pray for the challenges of humanity and the Church’s mission, accompanying the Holy Father’s intentions month by month.
The creativity and commitment of the national offices allowed the multiplication of virtual and face-to-face meeting spaces: vigils, Eucharistic adorations, Mass celebrations, prayer moments, and Rosaries shared through video calls. Each gesture, each prayer, was a testimony of love for Pope Francis and a living sign of the missionary spirit that animates the Network.
Thank you, Pope Francis, for teaching us that “the heart of the Church’s mission is prayer.” We will continue forward, praying and serving with joy, as you showed us.
